Diamond H&A Builders respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and our day to day work, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

When you request a quote or contact us, we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, the city or address of your project, the type of project, your preferred start date and a description of the work. If you call or email us, we keep a record of that conversation. During a project we may also collect the information needed to price, schedule, contract and invoice the work, and to meet insurance, safety and legal requirements.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to your request, prepare quotes and proposals, carry out and invoice the work, meet our legal, insurance, safety and accounting obligations, and keep our records accurate. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it.

Consent

By submitting the quote form or contacting us, you agree that we may use your information for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal and contractual limits, by contacting us. If you withdraw consent we may not be able to continue a quote or a project. We send marketing emails only to people who have agreed to receive them, and every such message includes a way to unsubscribe, as required by Canada’s anti-spam law.

Who we share it with

We share information only as needed to do the work and run the business: with the trades, suppliers and our sister company, Diamond Garage Pros, who help deliver your project; with service providers who host our website, handle our email and process payments or accounting; and with insurers, advisors, regulators or authorities when the law requires it or when needed to protect a legal right. Some of these providers may store or process information outside Canada, where it may be accessible to courts and authorities under local law.

Project photos

We photograph our work and may show it on this site and in proposals. We leave client names, street addresses and pricing out of public project pages. If a photo shows something you would like removed, tell us and we will take it down.

Cookies

This website uses cookies and similar technologies for basic functions such as security, performance and keeping forms working. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work as intended. We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use this site, such as which pages are viewed and how people find us. It uses cookies and collects technical information such as your approximate location, device and browser details and the pages you visit. Google may process this information outside Canada. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout or by blocking cookies in your browser. We also use Google Search Console, which reports on how our site appears in search results and does not identify individual visitors. If we add advertising tools, we will update this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, including to honour warranties and to meet tax, insurance and legal record keeping requirements. After that we delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards, including access controls, password protection and secure hosting, to protect information against loss, theft and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it where the law allows. Send your request to the contact below and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are first.
