Health and safety is a core value at Diamond H&A Builders and is integral to how we plan, manage, and execute our work. No activity is so urgent or important that it cannot be performed safely. The prevention of occupational injury, illness, and property damage is a fundamental responsibility of our company and a condition of employment and site participation.
Diamond H&A Builders is committed to full compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act, its regulations, applicable codes, client requirements, and industry best practices. We will take every reasonable precaution to protect the health and safety of all workplace parties by providing appropriate leadership, training, supervision, resources, and enforcement.
Shared responsibility
We recognize and support Ontario’s Internal Responsibility System, whereby all workplace parties share responsibility for health and safety. Employees, supervisors, subcontractors, and visitors are expected to perform their duties safely, report hazards and unsafe conditions immediately, and actively participate in maintaining a safe workplace.
All incidents, injuries, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions must be reported promptly and will be investigated to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. No individual will be subject to reprisal for reporting health and safety concerns in good faith.
Diamond H&A Builders requires that all subcontractors working on our projects comply with applicable legislation, this policy, and all site-specific health and safety requirements. Failure to comply may result in corrective action, including removal from the worksite.
This Health & Safety Policy is reviewed at least annually and updated as necessary to ensure continuous improvement in our health and safety performance.
